The Clay Studio of Missoula Mission:

To promote the ceramic arts in the City of Missoula and outlying areas through educational/instructional classes, workshops, and outreach programs for both children and adults.

To provide affordable studio work facilities, information resources, and development opportunities for working and aspiring clay artists.

To maintain in working order a ceramics facility including cooperative and semi-private workspace, industrial equipment, access to materials, and professional quality gallery space.

To be an ongoing resource for the Missoula arts community and the greater community-at-large.

members can enjoy the use of excellent ceramic studio facilities (rates below). In addition to the normal facilities such as throwing wheels, electric kilns, tools, glazes, etc., the Clay Studio has available for member use a gas fired kiln, a soda kiln, and a wood fired Anagama kiln (must have experience and management approval to fire all kilns).

Day use (24 hr period): $15/day. Day use applies to members who want to come and use the wheels and space to create work.
Basic Monthly rental: $105 per month. 24/7 access. Use of communal rental area. Includes 3 storage sheves for supplies and work. Monthly renters may add up to 2 additional shelves for $10/month for each shelf.
Semi-private spaces (limited availability)
approximately 80 sq.ft. Includes one shelving unit. For the primary renter the monthly rental rate is $260 month-to-month. The rate is $235/month with a minimum 6 month lease. A one year lease further reduces the monthly rate to $ 210/month. One additional person, a secondary renter may share the individual work space for an additional fee of $105 per month (which covers their basic monthly access).
